Publication Frequency & Schedule
Publication Frequency & Schedule
A clear and accountable semiannual publishing schedule, with transparent article publication dates and responsible issue-based continuous publication.
Semiannual Schedule
ARCITECH: Journal of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence publishes two regular issues per calendar year (biannual/semiannual), identified by the cover months June and December. The journal maintains one volume per year and ordinarily identifies its two issues as No. 1 and No. 2.
The schedule identifies the regular issue designation. Under continuous publication, the actual online publication date of an article may differ from its issue’s cover month.
June & December
Each issue is displayed with its official volume, issue number, cover month and year. The journal’s public archive provides the authoritative listing of previously published issues.
Consistent Volume & Issue Identification
ARCITECH uses the volume–number–year convention to identify regular issues. Articles are assigned to a designated issue through the journal’s editorial and production workflow in Open Journal Systems (OJS).
The journal strives to keep issue labels, article landing-page metadata, citation information and registered DOIs internally consistent. The volume or issue cover designation should not be presented as a substitute for an article’s actual publication date.
Online Release When Articles Are Ready
ARCITECH adopts an issue-based continuous publication model within its regular semiannual publication schedule. Articles that have completed peer review, editorial evaluation and decision, any required revisions, copyediting, proofreading, and production may be published online in their designated issue without waiting for every article in that issue to be finalized.
Articles may be added progressively throughout the relevant issue’s publication period. Each article retains its actual online publication date, while ARCITECH maintains the regular issue designations of June (No. 1) and December (No. 2).
Cover Month vs. Actual Online Publication
The issue cover month (June or December) identifies the regular publication schedule and issue designation. The actual online publication date of each article is recorded separately in OJS and should be reflected accurately in the article’s bibliographic metadata.
Under continuous publication, an article may become publicly available before the issue’s designated cover month. ARCITECH will not misrepresent the date of first online publication or silently backdate article records. Identified date or bibliographic errors should be assessed and corrected transparently.
Editorial Quality Before Publication
Only manuscripts that satisfy the journal’s scope, author requirements, publication ethics and editorial quality standards can proceed to publication. Acceptance, editorial approval and production completion—not the passage of a calendar date—determine when an article is eligible for online release.
- Manuscripts undergo the journal’s published editorial screening and independent peer-review process.
- Authors complete required revisions and provide relevant research declarations.
- Copyediting, proofreading, galley preparation and final publication checks are completed.
- Article metadata and full-text files are checked before public release.
Detailed requirements are stated in the Peer Review Policy & Editorial Decision and Author Guidelines.
Research Article Coverage
ARCITECH’s currently published frequency statement specifies a minimum of five (5) articles per regular issue. Article counts are reviewed in conjunction with applicable accreditation requirements and the journal’s commitment to publishing quality-assured research.
The minimum is a planning and compliance consideration, not a guarantee that unsuitable manuscripts will be accepted to reach a numerical target. Editorial quality, scientific merit and ethical compliance take precedence over issue size.
Submission and Editorial Processing
A scheduled publication month does not establish an automatic deadline for submission or guarantee that a manuscript submitted near that month will appear in the corresponding issue. Editorial review and production durations vary according to manuscript quality, reviewer availability, requested revisions and other legitimate factors.
Where a special call, closing date, or submission window is announced, the relevant official notice provides the applicable details. Authors should refer to Submissions and the journal’s current announcements before planning a submission.
Schedule Amendments and Exceptional Circumstances
ARCITECH seeks to maintain the published semiannual schedule. Exceptional circumstances—including serious technical disruptions, legal or ethical investigations, or institutional emergencies—may require changes to an expected publication timeline.
Material changes to regular publication frequency or schedule should be approved by the journal management and communicated through the journal website. Corrections to already published metadata must be documented as appropriate, rather than altering the public record without explanation.
Special Publications & Supplements
A special issue, thematic issue, supplement or other extraordinary publication will be considered only when formally authorized and publicly announced. Any special publication remains subject to the journal’s ordinary standards for scope, independent peer review, research integrity, disclosure and editorial oversight.
The existence of this policy does not mean that a special issue is currently open for submissions. Such opportunities, if any, will be communicated through official ARCITECH channels.
Issue Archives and Publication Evidence
ARCITECH provides public bibliographic records for its regular issues and articles. Readers, authors, and assessors may verify issue numbering, publication dates, article counts, and access to published content directly through the journal’s official archive.
The archive is updated as new issues and articles are released. Historical issue records serve as publication evidence; they do not change or replace the journal’s standing publication schedule.
Editorial Oversight and Metadata Integrity
The Editor-in-Chief and editorial management oversee compliance with the published publication schedule, supported by the journal’s production and OJS administration functions. Editors are responsible for ensuring that publication planning does not compromise independent editorial decisions.
The editorial office should maintain a documented internal record of issue preparation, release decisions, article publication dates and relevant deviations from the schedule for periodic quality assurance and accreditation review.
