Author Guidelines

ARCITECH: Journal of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence welcomes original, scientifically rigorous contributions within its published focus and scope, including computer science, information systems, software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, computer vision, artificial intelligence and other related computational areas. Submissions are evaluated for novelty or justified contribution, relevance, methodological soundness, ethical compliance and clear reporting.

• Do not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal or present previously formally published research as a new submission.
• Preprints may be disclosed and are handled under the journal’s Open Access & Repository Policy; clearly identify any preprint and its persistent URL in the confidential submission information.
• Disclose overlap with earlier publications, conference papers, thesis chapters or reused datasets, and explain the substantial new contribution where applicable.

Prepare the manuscript using the current ARCITECH template. The template governs detailed typography, spacing, margins, heading styles, tables and section arrangement. Do not treat generic OJS checklist defaults as overriding the official template.

• Submit an editable Microsoft Word file, preferably .docx, following the official template.
• Keep tables and mathematical expressions editable. Supply appropriately legible figures, diagrams and graphics, together with supplementary material if needed.
• Ensure all uploads are safe and contain no embedded credentials, unnecessary macros or confidential infrastructure secrets.

ARCITECH applies double-blind peer review. The manuscript sent to reviewers must not reveal the authors’ names, affiliations, institutional acknowledgements or other direct identifiers.

• Remove authorship information from the review manuscript and relevant Word/PDF document properties; anonymize self-referential wording where possible without obscuring scientific evidence.
• Enter accurate author names, affiliations, contact details and contributor order in the OJS submission metadata. If requested by the editor, provide an identifiable title page separately as a file not shared with reviewers.
• Provide required declarations without unnecessarily identifying authors in the blinded document. If a URL or disclosure would reveal identity, inform the editor confidentially and supply the complete verified wording before publication.
• Do not anonymize in a way that misrepresents citations, datasets, ethics approval or the provenance of the research.

Follow the section headings in the selected ARCITECH template. For empirical and computational studies, the narrative ordinarily covers:

1. Introduction: research problem, context, relevant literature, research objective, and contribution or research questions as appropriate.
2. Materials and Methods: research design, sources and selection of data, preprocessing, models or algorithms, implementation, experimental settings and validation.
3. Results: observed findings, appropriate tables/figures, evaluation metrics, and analysis relevant to the stated objectives.
4. Discussion: interpretation, comparison with appropriate prior work or baselines, limitations, implications and threats to validity.
5. Conclusions: concise answers to the study objectives, supported by the reported evidence, with limitations or future work as appropriate.

Headings can differ by article type where the journal template permits. Do not invent experiments, performance statistics or citations to fill a section.

• Use a precise title describing the principal research contribution without unsupported superlatives.
• Provide an abstract that reports the study objective, essential method, main findings and implications, and does not promise results absent from the manuscript.
• Provide no more than six relevant keywords, consistent with existing ARCITECH instructions.
• Ensure the title, abstract and keywords entered in OJS agree with the latest manuscript and with the metadata approved for publication.

Describe methods sufficiently for another competent researcher to critically assess the work and, where reasonably possible, reproduce its essential analysis.

• Report data provenance, inclusion/exclusion, sampling, labeling, preprocessing and train/validation/test separation as applicable.
• For AI/ML, describe model architecture, hyperparameters, baseline comparators, evaluation metrics, class imbalance treatment, data-leakage prevention and uncertainty or statistical analysis where relevant.
• Where material, identify software packages and versions, environment, random seeds, computational resources, model checkpoints or prompts/settings used in experiments.
• Distinguish observed data from simulations, synthetic records and AI-generated outputs; state relevant limitations.
• For cybersecurity research, disclose methods without exposing exploitable systems, live credentials, confidential logs or personal data.

• Number and cite all figures, tables and equations consistently in the text. Use readable labels and captions that allow interpretation of the evidence.
• Submit tables as editable elements and equations as editable mathematical text, not rasterized screenshots, where possible. Use internationally accepted measurement units (SI) when relevant.
• Use APA author–date referencing, as already specified by ARCITECH. Verify that in-text citations and bibliography entries match.
• Provide working DOIs or persistent URLs where available; do not invent references or cite AI-generated answers as substitute scholarly sources.
• Obtain permission where required for third-party images, figures, software, datasets or other copyrighted material and indicate exclusions from the article's Creative Commons license.

Every manuscript that collects, generates, transforms, simulates or analyzes research data must include a separately labelled Data Availability Statement. The statement must indicate where underlying data and appropriate supporting materials can be found, or truthfully explain any access restrictions.

• For public deposits, provide repository name, persistent link/DOI and version where available.
• For third-party, sensitive, confidential or security-restricted data, specify the restriction and lawful access route if one exists; public release is not mandatory when prohibited or unsafe.
• For work without applicable empirical or computational research data, include a short statement explaining why the requirement does not apply.
• Put the statement in the declarations area before the references, or the location designated by the approved template.

Use of AI/ML as a research method is acceptable when methodologically justified and reproducibly reported. Material use of generative AI to create substantive manuscript content, code, figures, data or analyses must be disclosed at submission and described in the manuscript under AI Use Declaration or the relevant Methods section.

• State the tool/model, provider or relevant version, task performed, affected material and human verification where the contribution is material.
• Ordinary spelling, grammar correction and routine formatting do not, by themselves, require a separate declaration under ARCITECH's published policy.
• Do not list AI tools as authors, fabricate evidence or bibliographic references, or submit confidential third-party information to unsecured services.
• Authors remain fully accountable for accuracy, provenance, permissions and scientific claims.

• List only individuals who meet the journal’s authorship standards; ensure all named authors have reviewed and approved the submitted version and the final version before publication.
• Provide accurate author order and affiliation in OJS; identify the corresponding author.
• Include an Author Contributions statement using author initials and relevant CRediT roles (such as Conceptualization, Methodology, Software, Data Curation, Validation, Formal Analysis, Writing, Supervision) only for work actually performed.
• Acknowledge assistance not qualifying for authorship with the contributor's consent when appropriate; do not credit generative AI as a co-author.
• Explain authorship changes to the editorial office; changes are subject to editorial verification and agreement by affected authors.

• For studies involving human participants, identifiable records, interviews, surveys or other regulated activities, report applicable ethics approval or exemption and informed consent as appropriate.
• Protect personal and confidential information and document permissions for institutional/third-party datasets, cybersecurity logs, source code and other restricted research objects.
• Prohibit fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, undisclosed manipulation, citation abuse and misleading presentation of synthetic materials as real observations.
• Report conflicts and limitations transparently; similarity-screening output is an editorial aid, not automatic evidence of misconduct.

Include the following statements in the journal template’s declarations area, or immediately before References if the template does not specify their placement. Use Not applicable only when truthful and explain where helpful:

• Author Contributions: contributions of each author, using initials and CRediT where relevant.
• Funding: funding organization(s) and grant identifiers, or “This research received no external funding.”
• Conflicts of Interest: disclose competing financial or nonfinancial interests or state that none are declared.
• Ethics Approval and Consent: approvals and consent where applicable, or reason not applicable.
• Data Availability Statement: required statement appropriate to the study and any restrictions.
• AI Use Declaration: where generative AI contributed materially; not mandatory for ordinary language correction alone.
• Acknowledgments: non-author contributions where applicable.

In blind review files, protect author identity; the editorial office may request a separate, fully attributed declaration file.

Authors retain copyright and grant ARCITECH non-exclusive first-publication rights. Published articles normally carry the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license; third-party material may have separate conditions.

Authors may self-archive preprints, accepted manuscripts and published versions without a journal-imposed embargo, subject to rights they hold and applicable third-party restrictions. Dataset and software licenses must be stated separately where relevant.

Eligible submissions undergo editorial screening and double-blind evaluation by at least two independent reviewers. Reviewer comments are recommendations; an authorized, conflict-free editor makes the scientific decision. The published four-week review target and standard minor/major revision windows are targets, not guaranteed publication dates.

• Provide a point-by-point response to review comments and highlight revisions when resubmitting.
• Support rebuttals with evidence and explain any recommendation you do not implement.
• Appeals and complaints follow the journal's published procedures and do not guarantee acceptance.

Submission is free of charge. The current Article Processing Charge is IDR 500,000 per accepted article for domestic authors and USD 35 per accepted article for international authors, payable only after acceptance according to official journal instructions. Fees must not affect editorial judgment.

Check the current Article Processing Charges (APC) page before submission. The fee page is the controlling public source for amounts and payment procedures.

1. Read the journal scope, download the current official template, and prepare the blinded manuscript.
2. Sign in to ARCITECH OJS and complete submission metadata accurately, including all authors, title, abstract, keywords and references when requested.
3. Upload the editable review manuscript and relevant permitted supplementary files. Submit any identifiable cover information only via a route that keeps it out of reviewer access.
4. Verify the required statements, disclose any related preprint or previously disseminated material, and confirm all authors' agreement.
5. Complete the separate Submission Preparation Checklist in OJS and submit.
6. Respond to editorial requests and ensure that the accepted article's final declarations, metadata and licenses are correct before publication.
