Call for Papers: Al-Falah: Journal of Islamic Economics – June 2025 Edition

Dear Scholars, Researchers, and Practitioners,

Al-Falah: Journal of Islamic Economics is pleased to invite high-quality research papers for its June 2025 edition. We welcome original scholarly contributions that address contemporary issues in Islamic economics, finance, and banking from theoretical, empirical, and policy perspectives.

Scope and Themes

We encourage submissions covering, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Islamic economic thought and philosophy

  • Shariah-compliant financial instruments

  • Islamic banking and financial stability

  • Zakat, waqf, and Islamic philanthropy

  • Halal industry and its economic impact

  • Digital transformation in Islamic finance

  • Islamic microfinance and poverty alleviation

  • Sustainable development and Maqasid al-Shariah

  • Comparative studies between Islamic and conventional economic systems

  • Regulatory frameworks and governance in Islamic finance

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Papers should adhere to the journal’s formatting and referencing guidelines, available on our official website.

  • The manuscript should be between 6,000–8,000 words, including references and appendices.

  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.

  • Accepted papers will be published in the June 2025 issue.

Important Dates

  • Manuscript Submission Deadline: April 30, 2025

  • Notification of Acceptance: May 20, 2025

  • Publication Date: June 30, 2025
