This study aims to analyze the role of the multicultural approach in teaching the Indonesian language to strengthen cultural diversity in educational settings. Using a qualitative research method with a literature review approach, the study explores the concept of the multicultural approach in the learning process, applied strategies, and its impact on students’ understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. The findings indicate that implementing a multicultural approach in Indonesian language learning can enhance students’ awareness, tolerance, and inclusive attitudes. Moreover, the use of culturally diverse teaching materials can motivate students to engage more actively in learning. Therefore, the multicultural approach becomes an effective strategy for fostering social harmony amidst Indonesia's cultural diversity.
